Online & Social Media

Advocacy For All’s social media is run by our ASC/LD Media Team.

They have been doing this since December 2018, assisted by Jan Donnelly and Isaac Ngugi.

Our YouTube channel is centred on the lives of our members.

Our members have either a learning disability or Autistic Spectrum Conditions, and are brought together by self-advocacy, where they get to speak up.

They all want to have control of their lives, and have a say in the decisions that affect them.

Advocacy for All have done this work for 25 years starting in Bexley and Bromley.

Our videos are about our lives…there are videos of us:
• socialising
• working
• learning new skills
• being creative

We also celebrate our disabilities and coming together as a community. If you would like to see our YouTube videos, please click here.

Introducing the team:

Polly Sharpey

It is important to tell people what it is the media team do, and the stories we tell.

The stories are important as we get our voices heard.

Adam Southworth

we put out all forms of social media so we can get people interested.

We tell people about what we do, and we get our voices heard about important things.

Sarah Kenney

I am a new member of the team.

I am interested in how the team works, what their goals are and help them towards the goal.

I am helping to create positive images of people with learning disabilities.

Teresa Durman

I am part of the newsletter team and easy read team.

I think that social media really helps in spreading the news of what these teams do.
